Layby Policy

At That Golden Gal, we know that building a meaningful jewellery collection takes time—and sometimes, so does the purchase itself. Our layby option allows you to secure the piece you love now, and pay it off gently, over a period that suits you.

Because gold waits for no one—but we do.

How It Works

Layby is only available on full priced items.
A 25% non-refundable deposit secures your piece and removes it from sale.
The remaining balance is paid in even installments over an extended timeline, based on the value of the item.
Payments are made fortnightly, and you’re welcome to complete your plan early at any time.

This option is designed for clients who value slow luxury, prefer to plan their purchases intentionally, or want to reserve a one-of-a-kind piece before someone else does.

Longer or personalised plans may be available by request.

Cancellations & Changes

If You Cancel:

Your 25% deposit is non-refundable, as it covers administration, reservation of the piece, and missed opportunity for sale.
Any payments beyond the deposit may be refunded at our discretion, provided the item has not already been prepared for delivery or re-listed.

If We Cancel:

We reserve the right to cancel a layby if:
- Payments are missed without communication;
- The item becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. loss or damage).
If we cancel your layby, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit.

Written Agreement

Upon initiating a layby, we will email you a summary of your layby terms, including the payment schedule, total cost, cancellation terms, and expected completion date. This serves as your formal layby agreement, in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Completion & Shipping

Once your layby is paid in full, your piece will ship within 2 business days.
